Fayette County Tax Equalization Project

Fayette County last updated its assessment system in 2003, the first update since 1958.  In doing so the county committed itself to not allow such a lapse in time to occur again.  Keeping the valuations current ensures that each and every taxpayer is paying only his/her fair share of the tax liability.  More frequent updates allow for assessors to take into consideration market trends, improving and declining neighborhoods, and physical conditions of properties. 

The County is committed to making as much information available to the public as possible.  Hopefully the information on this site fulfills that goal in a clear and easy way.
